Development of graphical interface and programming support for modernisation of the calculation parts of Amtab's measuring system.
 Railway container transports to/from a new container port in Norvik outside Stockholm.
The Ports of Stockholms intend to relocate the container port in central Stockholm to Norvik in Nynäshamn. The study is an analysis of how railway transports of containers between Norvik and Stockholm/central Sweden could be designed in a competitive way compared to road transport.
 CATO field tests
Computer Aided Train Operation, a R&D project financed by clients and Transrail, is intended to optimise train driving, thus reducing operational costs and enhancing line capacity. Analysing the full traffic situation drivers are given information on how to best drive their trains. Field tests are now done to verify and update the System Requirement Specification.

Development of a risk analysis including mitigation strategies for the migration to new commuter trains in the Stockholm area, requiring new schedules for staff, maintenance and operation. At the same time, a new depot was to be taken into operation.

Study on the future conditions for maintenance of the Stockholm commuter trains, considering the migration to a new fleet witch is not compatible with the old vehicles and the introduction of a new second depot.
 Systems design of the Eskisehir Tramway (Turkey)
System design of the Eskisehir Tramway in Turkey including integration with other transport services, routes, system performance, safety aspects, normal and disrupted traffic. It provided high-level system design requirements and support for the municipality approval of design parameters.
 Analysis of a new intermodal transport system for Rail Combi
Rail Combi (CargoNet), the main intermodal railway operator in Sweden, wanted to make a major change of their rail production scheme. Transrail analysed the planned train and wagon circulation, impacts on the wagon fleet and kilometre performance. Successfully solved using Transrail's TSDA tool with new software routines to minimise wagon empty runs.
 CATO (Computer Aided Train Operation) System Requirement Specification.
Development of a draft System Requirement Specification for CATO (Computer Aided Train Operation), a centralised system to give information to trains enabling optimal running profiles. Carried out as a R&D-project, financed by the Railway Adminstration and Transrail.
 Regional and commuter train systems south of Stockholm
Feasibility and idea study on a more efficient regional and commuter train system into Stockholm from the south. Means to improve the commuter traffic south of Södertälje were studied. An idea of great potential was the integration of regional and commuter train services at the Södertälje Syd station.
 Vision for the railway traffic in central Sweden
Management of workshops, plus a vision for future passenger and freight railway traffic in central Sweden. The aim was to develop the competence of the BV Middle Region staff and to create input for their infrastructure planning activities. Cooperation with the Swedish consultancy company Transek.
 Vision for the Gothenburg LRTS
Drafting of an idependent second opinion on the future of the Gothenburg Lighth Rail Transport System. Identification of a development programme.

Vision for an efficient and attractive passenger transport system (the lines and schedules) in the region of Bergslagen, Sweden. Operational costs were calculated and requirements were identified for rolling stock and infrastructure in order to achieve cost effectiveness.
